th400 pros/cons and ?
i have an 95 auto sc, want to convert to manual but to much $$$ with clutch assebly drive shaft trans and clutch kit bellhousing etc. so i want to go with the th400. my question is what is the highway like, top speed and redline? also as far as shifting its 3 shifts up/down like a street bike but what about parking and reverse? the kit from Boost Logic is like $4500 and change but will it swap right in? any opinions, knowledge, or actual useage of the th400by some on the site would be appreciated. and yes i did see the turbo6 site he never emailed me back on my question. thanks for all of your time

FWIW I had a TH400 in my MKIII Supra. IIRC it turned about 3,500 rpm @ 65 mph. Top speed was 130 mph. I was running a 285/35/18 rear tire, 3.72 rear gear, and it weighed 3,250 pounds.
I could've saved all of it to swap into my SC, but I wanted the Getrag so I could actually drive more than 30 minutes down a highway. Anything more was just unbearable. It was really wound up at highway speeds.

I have an auto, I was planning on doing a manual swap but everytime I put a parts list together it gets more expensive and longer. I want like 550hp and Ive heard it can only handle about 300. I am planning on buying an extra 2jzge engine and auto tranny to build so I can still have my car, its my DD. I am gonna take the tranny apart and get some tougher clutch packs and accumulators so it shifts harder and holds more power. How much- we'll see...
