Default 1JZ clip or just buy the motor

i was wondering if it would be worth just going ahead and getting a soarer front clip versus just getting the motor ,trans , harness etc. Im thinking of doing a swap on my 400. So how much easier ,if any, would it be to have the the clip there to see how every thing goes and for all the little extra parts and what not.

On the 400... the clip would be best. On the 300, you could get by w/o a clip.

I'd say for both get a clip, but on a 300 you could deal with a just motor/trans.

With a clip you not only get the intercooler+piping, you get all the miscellaneous bolts, screws and whatnot.

Good advice; an entire clip will always have all the small nuts, bolts and parts for perfect fitment, but it can be a hassle to get rid of the remnants when you're done.

If you have a truck and a local scrapyard nearby, then the clip is the way to go.
