Default 2jztt and 5 speed Sc300?

This maybe a stupid question and i hate to be the newbie on this forum but i did try and do as much research as i can before asking a forum for tech questions about this. I bought a 2jz tt motor and am picking up a 5 speed tranny i believe its a 1jz. now i am doing a custom turbo kit setup a T4 T-61 with HKS intercooler, Greddy 40mm BOV, HKS 50mm wastegate, and 750cc injectors with rail from TRD. i would like to know what and where can i purchase parts for the conversion. i know i need a clutch assembly kit since my SC is an auto, possibly manual mounts, and what about the diff and drive shaft? do i need all these parts or can some be used? i will be buying a aem ems ecu. and with the harness what kind should i get it has to be a oem one for the aem ecu right? and the clutch kit itself can i use a 2jz one for it or will it have to be a 1jz clutch. i was hopeing this tranny swap would be cheaper installing it myself then going and buying the TH400 3spd kit for like $4500. i thank all of you for any help and advice.
Otis.

You haven't searched very well.

Short answer is that the engine you are building can easily blow the w58 5-speed that is common oem in an SC300 and na MKIV. The R154 might hold into the mid 500 - 650 whp, somewhere along there it gives it up too. The T61 maxes out on the 2j ~600whp. Depending on where you're headed with the engine, the 6-speed Getrag v160 from the MKIV TT may warrant a look as it handles any amounts of power. Lots o money...

I agree with SCoupe. Your weakest link is your tranny. If you do a BPU on your 2j, you'll be at your limit with the tranny. What are your power goals?
I have a 98 with a 1jz+R154. 98's don't come 5 speed so I needed to do the conversion. If you go to the dealer they can show you a picture of the whole assembly. You'll need to get everything there. It'll run you about $500. If you have a hook up, you'll save a few $$.
Depending on what tranny you use you can either get an oem driveshaft or custom make one. If you use a W58, you'll need a usdm 5speed driveshaft, if you go R154, you'll need to source out a soarer driveshaft(which might be very dificult to find). Or you can just have one made.
For the diff, you can used an auto MKiv TT, or find or aristo diff which is our GS in the states. (make sure is Torsen, the tt is LSD).
Your harness can be oem since the AEM is plug and play. The clutch that you use is in accordance with the tranny you use. Keep in mind that the flywheel on w58, r154 & V160 are different too. it might sound like alot but it can be done. I hope this helps.

Good info. As for sourcing any OE Toyota parts, these guys are generally the best in the business...

Curt Aigner is the man for all parts and hard to find stuff.

Are you talking about everything to do a 5-speed swap, minus the tranny??? Clutch master cylinder, lines, pedal assembly all that... --That cant be right its way to cheap, especially from a dealership. I found some guy with a junkyard that quoted my $1100 for all the stuff to swap in a 5-speed, not including a tranny. I dont even want to ask the dealership in my town for help with anything, they are dicks

Default 2jz Tt-th400 Swap In Sc300?

well my turbo is "supposed" to put out between 550hp to mid 600hp. i want a manual but according to what you guys told me the five speed would not be the way to go with that power level. and a 2jz tranny on ebay, oem toyota dealers will cost around $3000 with out a drive shaft and clutch assembly. so i might go with the th400 since its got all the parts i will need for basically a out of the box install even though i would want a manual. has anyone done this th400 swap? i saw this sick *** SC on this website with the th400-http://www.turbo6.net/
http://http://www.genuine-perform.../index.php this site is where i found the swap for, $4500. or does anyone know where i can find a six speed around or is anyone selling one? I Thank all of you for you time on reading this post and the previous one also. THANKS!!

A T61 will not put out 500+ RWHP on pump gas. This seems like alot of trouble for 400+ hp to the wheels. The R154 5-speed from a soarer should be sufficient.

If you use the TH400 your highway is going to suck.. But like Rising Sun said the R-154 is good enought. I know people that are pushing almost 800 from a single turbo 1/2j threw it. Holding up just fine.

Agree, you'll need a bigger turbo for 500+.
650rwhp is gravy for the R154, it will hold by experience. My old R154 is in my friends car and he's doing 791rwhp and still going.
