Default How to test MAF

I am installing a SAFC and I accidentally used the white and yellow wire instead of the orange and pink wire. Now, the MAF sensor doesnt seem to be working even without the SAFC connection. I unplugged the MAF while the engine is running and there was no change. The engine starts up fine and runs but when I rev it and let off the gas pedal, the rpms go down and it stalls. Any other parts to check before I buy a used MAF? (Brand new MAF from lexus is a whopping $900!!!)

I have the same problem, when i give my car some gas then the RPM just jump up then engine just shut down. Someone suggest it might be my MAF that is bad, but have no clue how to check it. WOW $900 for MAF

cleaning the maf might do the trick, its a long shot but could be an extremely dirty maf.

Wow I knew Maf's were expensive new from the dealer but $900, thats a new record!

I just clean the MAF this morning and now I have check engine light on....The problem still exist. You guys know where to get just the MAF sensor? I don't want to buy the whole thing for $900

junk yards and classified would be the best bet to finding a maf for cheaper than $900
