Default Magnaflow's installed but now feels funny

I installed magnaflows about a week or 2 before thanksgiving. For about a week or so now the car feels like its puttering when its idliing. When I rev or driving it feels normal. Are they breaking in or is there sumthin goin on with the car. Its making the whole car shake, but when I grab the steering wheel or the shift **** there is no vibration....

Im not sure what is going on but it sounds like you have an exhaust leak, maybe a vacuum leak. Exhaust do like to come loose after a while, so it would be a good idea to go over it again.

Is your muffler shop far away? I'd take it back and ask them what's up. You probably should have done a test drive before leaving the shop. The longer it takes for you to bring it back to the shop and address the issue, the reason for them to say, it was probably you fault.

it might be rubbing against something and shifting when u get on the gas causing the viration to go away see if its hitting the bumper or something like that but if u had it done somewhere take it back and let them deal with it

it was fine after i left the shop. It was fine when i drove to atlanta and back for turkey day. The problem only occurred after a freezer plug went bad and they had to take off the manifold to get to it. Could that be the problem? The engine runs horrible now, and I just got a tune up so thats not it. Im in need of a waterpump badly, but i doubt that has anything to do with the puttering

Sounds like a small vacuum leak created when they did the freeze plug work. Could be very simple like a vacuum hose or more complicated like a leaking gasket. Take it back to that shop. The mufflers should have no impact.

Make sure the pipes are well secured to the underbody of the car or else they can shake the car like a tuning fork

If they removed the exhaust manifold to get to the freezer plug make sure that the manifold gasket isn't leaking now, they may have reused an old worn-out manifold gasket.

Check the exhaust O2 sensors...Were they relocated or damaged during the install? Allow time for the ECU to learn and adjust for the mod change, maybe...Maybe not....Tough call...
