93 SC300 - Need help ASAP - ordering steering rack and water pump (many variants)
Guys I have a dilemma -
My steering rack and pinion needs to be replaced and the water pump is leaking.
Obviously dealer parts are prohibitively expensive, so I tried NAPA, etc.
Guess what -
Steering gear comes in EVO component and non-EVO component. The EVO component costs about 2 times the non-EVO. The dealers I called have no clue about this, since they list only one part number for this car.
By the way, I'm guessing EVO means electronically variable orifice.
The water pump is also listed by the dealer as one part #, but it can come in 10 bolt, 11 bolt and 12 bolt variants. WHich one is the one for my car?
