no photos but its extremely simple you could do it in under a minute look at your lower radiator hose then follow it back to the water neck and you will find what you seek

REMOVAL
HINT:
Removal of the thermostat would have an adverse effect, causing
a lowering of cooling efficiency. Do not remove the thermostat,
even if the engine tends to overheat.

1. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER
2. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT
3. DISCONNECT WATER INLET FROM WATER PUMP,
AND REMOVE THERMOSTAT
(a) Remove the 2 nuts holding the water inlet to the water
pump, and disconnect the water inlet from the water
pump.
(b) Remove the thermostat.
(c) Remove the gasket from the thermostat.

INSTALLATION
1. PLACE THERMOSTAT IN WATER INLET
(a) Install a new gasket to the thermostat.
(b) Align the jiggle valve of the thermostat with the protrusion
of the water inlet.
2. INSTALL WATER INLET
(a) Install the water inlet with the 2 nuts.
Torque:
2JZ-GE 8.8 N·m (90 kgf·cm, 78 in.·lbf)
Connect the lower radiator hose to the radiator.
3. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER
4. FILL WITH ENGINE COOLANT
5. START ENGINE AND CHECK FOR COOLANT
LEAKS

THANK YOU for posting this thread! It was very helpful, I simply couldn't find the stupid thermostat and y'all's directions really helped!

For anyone else needing help:
I did NOT remove my engine undercover; I worked from above the engine rather than under. I just took off my intake tube (from the intake manifold to the airbox) to give me enough room to work. After that, it was easy-peasy to get at the two nuts holding the inlet on. I unscrewed them, the inlet popped off, thermostat popped out, and about 1/2 gallon or so of coolant rushed out (I also put an oil drain pan at the back of the undercover to catch the coolany - it got almost all of it). *I didn't even take off the radiator hose.

Thanks again, especially to "chanh55" for the correct torque amount.
