Drowning plugs: I think I found my problem
So after bashing my head for the last week or so I think I've discovered the source of my problem.
Problem: Begins with intermittent misfires and finally running on 4 or 5 cyinders. Rear 2 plugs are drenched in coolant.
Possible source of problem: That heater core hose that runs behind the block and along the cowl to the control valve is possibly loose or leaking coolant into the last 2 cylinders.
My question: There doesn't seem to be much room to work behind there, and I cant really see back in there. Is this hose easy to replace? How far back does it go? Is there any kind of adaptor/fitting that it fits onto? Can I just get a cheap hose from Checkers and replace it or do I need an OEM piece?

like matt said i just did a heater core on my sc and it was a job i will never forget, and the problem that you ahve is exactly what you think it is, its that hose that goes behind the cylinder head that is leaking. u had that to, its $75 from lexus and i do recomment getting one from them not autozone,( i actually work there and those hoses are crap.) anyways it slips on to a metal pipe back there andis held by a hose clamp. after all the years it has beent here its proboly fried on there pretty good, so what i did was just cut it and broke the clamp, which is the easiest way to do it, got a new hose, and lamp from lexus, clamp was like $1, made the job a heck of a lot easier. anyways any more questions pm me or just ask here brom.
