I have a 92 sc400 with 178000 miles my engine recently started knocking. I believe I have a bad main bearing based on what I've read in these forums. So now I'm trying to decide if I should invest more into this car or jump ship on this and move on to another. I wondering what price range I should expect for a used motor and what would be a reasonible price to pay some one to remove the old engine and install the replacement.

Used engines for the sc400 are very cheap. Post in the classifieds.
