Default Help me trouble shoot my rumbling/stuttering motor

Here's the deal.

My '93 sc300 (a/t) had been rumbling and stuttering at dead stop idles and when given load (acceleration). Acceleration is also slower. Almost like it's misfiring or not running on all cylinders.
My plugs, wires, cap and rotors are only 7 months old. Timing is good. I changed out the fuel pump ecu a few months back.
I'm going to check the plugs tomorrow.

The car ran fine up until about 2 days ago.
It sounds almost like a cam'd V8, but without the power.

What other things should I look into?
Any help would be appreciated.

you didn't happen to spray down the engine to try to clean it out did you? The spark plugs are set pretty deep in those wells, so water tends to sit there and can really foul things up (no pun intended )

Check your AFM sensor (airflow meter) that's the square little box by the intake

No water.

MAF looks good.

Plugs were fine

Compression read ( 185, 220, 190, 220, 220, 220)

More problems now.
After I took a look at the plugs a couple more things have developed. A definate misfire (plug gaps are all at .44) and some intermittent white smoke.

Head gasket?

I hate cars
