Default Coolant Leak Help!!! (PICS Inside)

went out to my car this morning and noticed ther is like a 2 inch coolant leak from under the engine comp. opeed the hood and everything is clean with no signs of a leak at all. took off the plastic cover underneath to check for leaks and still nothing, both upper and lower hoses are fine, the rad plug is fine and dry, the little hose next to it is ok also no signs of a leak anywhere. water pump is ok to dry around it. it seems if i keep it in the garage it does not leak but f its like in the 50's outside at night and the car is outside then it leaks a little, maybe the hoses contract because of the temp diference and leak, but they look dry and not cracked. i can drive it all da long and not see a drop anywhere after on the driveway but everytime when its cold utside in the morning i will see like a 2-4 inch puddle. any clues? what to look for? any ideas for me? please help. the resarvour is full also. this is like the 5th night in the last month this has happened. does not everheat or anything, i am clueless. please help.

The coolant reservoir is one common problem with an older SC. I had to replace mine. Check that to see if yours is not leaking.

Can it be determined where the drip is coming from by relation to the puddle to the engine compartment. The front, to the side or close to the firewall. Under the radiator, rubber connection hoses from the engine to the heater in the firewall, to the side under the overflow reservoir?

I'm sure you have eliminated the air conditioning drain.

it might be from the heater core control valve. The valve is around the firewall area.

Or the hoses leading up to the heater core and the control valve.

the heater control valve looks dry to, i figured it has to have a sensor on it and its right by the charcole canister so thats out of the question, its fine or maybe i should try to turn my heater on and see if it leaks? or any other places i can look? but its definatly coming from the pass side firewall somewhere.

Check to insure there is no fluid leaking under the passenger side floor mat or carpet.

i checked under the floor mat and it's all dry. I parked my car in the garage last night and there was no leak. It seems that it only leaks when i park outside overnight when the temperature drops. What is happening?

drove around today with the heater on high heat and came bck home to look if i can see where the coolant is coming from, the heat on the inside was strong, no smell of coolant what so ever but when i opened to hood i saw this. there is a small tube coming from the inside of the car to the engine bay near the exhaust manufold, when the heat is on there is coolant coming from that little tube, along with looks like water. my question to everyone is, what could be cosing coolant to exit that little tube, heater core or the heater control valve? because the inside does not elak any coolant and does not smell anything.

This looks like the photo is of the evaporator drain hose.

Without understanding the air flow direction through the system, it is hard to understand why you're not getting the smell inside the vehicle.

But the leak is real. It's coming from somewhere and it appears you'll need to have the evaporator box removed and inspected to locate where.

is there a line with coolant that is going to the evaporator? because i thoght the evaporator is part of the A/C system, but i guess it has to do something with the Heating system to. the A/C blows really cold also no problems there and no smell with the A/C on either. double checked on the carpet leaking on the pass side, took the carpet out and no signes of anything there.

The heater core should be right next to the evaporator core, in the evaporator case. Most air conditioning systems are designed this way.
