Changing the radiator. Help?
#2
It is pretty straight forward. Most difficult is just getting the hoses off. You will need to remove all the shrouding with the radiator in the car, then you will be able to slip the radiator out without removing the fan. seems to me there are just the two hold-down brackets at each side of the top of the radiator, and then it just sits in a depression at the bottom. Thus:
1. Drain coolant, then Remove hoses (including overflow hose)
2. Remove upper and lower shroud from radiator
3. Remove top hold-down brackets
4. Lift radiator straight up and out.
btw, there are some excellent aluminum after-market radiators which can be had for about the same price as a dealer-purchased stock unit.
