i got a sc that i converted to 1jz and i was wondering if anyone pulled off using a whole 1jzgte with R154 trany set? is there something i have to change or something? also i was wondering would i be able to use my clutch with the new r154 tranny?

i just got done installing a soarer 1jz with r154. only thing extra you need is the front half of a 7mgte driveshaft, and use ur stock carrier bearing and rear half of stock driveshaft.

You won't be able to use the the clutch from the w58 with the r154.

u will either have to use a 1jz or 2jz flywheel with a 7mgte clutch.

also, you need to change the slave cylinder. . .

edit: also, if you mean the SUPRA R154, then there's a bit more work to be done in the shifter area.
recently i read something about Boost Logic having something to help that...which is kewl, but sucks that i spent all my money on this soarer r154

so i cant interchange clutch at all? damn i guess i would have to buy a new one..

where do u guys pickup a soarer manual tranny anyways..

it doesnt come cheap... well not for mine. i bought my engine set for 2k. there is one for sale in the classifieds.

I also paid 2k for my motor set from fleabay. It started on the first crank.

i paid 2.8k shipped, had a full clip.
started on first crank as well

got jipped on the clip extras though(digital cluster n such...i'm pretty bitter about it, bought from Superior Trading International)
