auto to 5/6 speed conv
Has anybody ACTUALLY done the auto to 5 speed or even more interestingly the auto to 6 speed conversion? I'm def going to try and do it this winter while the car is away but I'm searched CL and havn't found anyone that actually did this. Anyone...?

Sounds good thanks! I'm wondering what kind of cost is involved including the driveshaft/ clutch and all that good stuff, and the rear end. I'm also wondering if the engine must be removed to do this or if there's enough room just taking out the tranny?

On my '92 I used a supra tunnel section & grafted it on to mine.
check: MKIV.com auto -> 6 speed conversion
It shows the piece I used & basic install of the conversion on a supra.
Price?? alot: rough guess's lets not flame here.
6 speed conversion:
V160 trans 2-2500
6 speed driveshaft 2-300
lengthen driveshaft - I paid 250 w/ balancing
clutch - search - 7-800 w/ flywheel? My TRD twin plate was 1400
differential 1000?
axles 300

Tranny has to be cheaper than that though... what about a stock sc tranny from like a 97 with miles on it. Since you'd be putting it in with a new clutch and all it would be good as new right? $1000 maybe?
