1jz front sump Vs rear sump?
Hey guys,
Just a general question regrading 1jz sumps, I keep seeing a demand for the front sump version when people use the 1jz in a conversion.
How come this is so? After much thinking I have decide to finally do a 1jz conversion into my car but are un-sure what sump version to buy.
The car in question for the conversion is a 91 LS400, most of the work I can do myself which makes it worthwhile, opinion on what sump version to get?
The only info I have been able to get from LS400 1jz owners is I need the soarer engine mounts and soarer engine mount brackets, everything else seems to be tight lipped.
Any information regarding sumps, or even if someone can confirm the soarer mounts will bolt up to the 1uzfe cross member would be much appreciated.

guy at toyota told me that sc300 and sc 400 cross member have the same part numbers. so looks they are same as parts.
for double check ask your toyota / lexus dealer.
what problem?
