2JZ Internals
I am planning on running the NA-T parts. I have done quite a bit of browsing on this forum and a few others. From what I understand the GE has a higher compression ratio than the GTE. I have searched alot of places that sell pistons/rods and they do not have aftermarket pistons for the GE, just the GTE. So my question is, will GTE pistons fit in a GE?

I plan on going this route and everything I have seen is people have taken the GE well above 500hp on stock internals. I think you will be good. The tranny and clutch will need to be done before internal work.

Head gasket and youre good. Wrist pins? I havent heard that and highly highly doubt that the wrist pins fail. The failures dont seem to be one common thing (other then the head gasket), though Im going to say that the "weak" point is probably the pistons. You really dont need to worry about the bottom end, the tranny seems to be the bigger factor.

the pistons and rods are the same thing minus the dishing on the tt pistons the NA bottom end will hold plenty of power ive seen a buddy of mine make over 800 wheel on stock NA bottom end simple a cometic head gasket and arp head studs you wont have a problem

I have about 180k miles on my motor as it is. I am used to honda motors as that is what got me into the car industry. With a Honda motor it would be imperative to rebuild before boosting, is it necessary with the 2JZ?

Thats funny considering I boosted my stock gsr w/ 112k on it. At 180k its probably time for a rebuild (ie, new gaskets, rings, bearings and headgasket), but thats because its relatively cheap to do assuming you can handle the task yourself.

Just do a compression/leak down test. If they are ok, you dont have to rebuild. DaveH ran a 9sec quarter on a 220k mile na-t setup. Couple of members here are over 200k and went na-t. These engines are super-strong.
