Default ac won't hold chage help!

So its getting hot and I decided to retro fit the r134. Bought the kit from autozone, changed the fittings, and pump 2 cans of the r134 that was included with the kit. It was running real nice until I stopped to get dinner. After that it never got cold again so I decided to add another can from the kit but nothing is working. I mean the air is a little cooler but not like how it was at first. Anyone think they know what's up?

Check for the leaks. If the compressor works, then most likely youve got leaks somewhere, i would definately look into that.

leak in the system, stop by an auto store and buy a dye kit.

Compressor will not kick on even IF it has freon until it has ENOUGH in it, so one can wouldn't make it kick on.

I just had by 93 sc400 retro fitted to r134 couple months ago. I had a similar exprerience. They only put 2.2 lbs of freon in mine. I believe they had overcharged it the first round, which sounds like your car. It is cooling fine now, but not quite as cool as the old freon, which is to be expected.
You could use your sight glass, which is under hood just to the left of your left headlight. Maybe release a little at a time, from your low side of course, and watch the sight glass for bubbles. If bubbles appear, then you have released too much.
