Default NEED HELP ASAP!!!!! OBD1 to OBD2 error scanner

Hey guys what's up! My car is a '95 SC300 OBDI and I recently did the full GTE swap to OBDII. My question is, how do I run the error codes? Basically, I know OBD2 cars utilize a scanner but I don't have that port. Will the paper clip method work?

Thanks for the help!

Whats up Zaldy. Hows the car running? The paper clip method won't work unfortunately. You have to wire in a OBDII port and pick up a reader to pull the codes. The one good thing about OBDII is that it has a good refresh rate and with certain obd readers, it can display any of the engine functions such as timming which is a big plus for tuning. When timing is being pulled you know your knocking. Sorry to ramble on but click on the link below and it will show you how to wiring in an obdii port with a link to where you can buy the port.
