Default Lag After Tune Up ?

So I got a tune up for my car about a month ago, I got the car back, and my idle was screwed up, really rough and felt like it was going to die. Anyway, i just got my car back for the 3rd time and my idle is high (400-600) so i guess they fixed that, but now there is some serious lag when i step on the gas.

The entire car bogs and jumps when im stepping on the gas, let go of the gas, then get back on the gas. Feels like just a lag in the shifting, but im pretty sure it has nothing to do with the tranny (auto) They fixed one problem, but now htere is another.. Can anyone give me any ideas before I go back to these guys?

btw, car is an SC300 auto.

Take it back and have them do it. They caused it, its their obligation to fix it.

OEM Denso plugs. I will most def bring it back, its just a pain because its gone back 3 times for the same problem.

He said he had to clean out the throttle body because it was so dirty, now my idle is alot higher then it has ever been. I used to idle at 100-300, now im at 400-600. Im wondering if he did anything to the throttle body that I dont know about, or even did somethign to the timing.

Idling at 100-300 is definately way low, i dont know how your car didnt stall at those low rpms.... mine idles at around 600-700. Thats usually the normal, then 500 when its warmed up.

My 1J idles at ~650 when relatively warm, as low as ~550 when very warm.

When it's just idling, it will stumble some times. Is this common? or a symptom of a real problem?

TIA

When they changed the plugs , since they had to remove the TB, hoses, etc. You may want to check your throttle cable for slack.

Since they cleaned the TB make sure the three vacume lines that run into the TB are clear. They are the lines that are on top and attached to the TB itself.(hard lines) You can spray TB cleaner through them or use compressed air to clear the passage ways.

Inside the TB Are 3 holes that run into those lines and some of them are very small and easy to plug up. I know The first time I cleaned my TB thats what happened to me, after I cleaned out those holes / lines that are apart of the TB every thing is good again.

Try it and good luck
