Sorry, I had to bump this up. My heater and AC are not working as well. I read many DIY on the fixes with the heater valve. Should I get a new heater valve, or do the fix? I saw for that for the fix, you have to unplug and replug the hose for summer/winter. I just wanted a permanent solution.

As for the a/c:
The strange thing is the the owner before me had it serviced at 100k miles (it has 130 now). Is it possible to go bad already? It was injected with a dye, so I have to find a blacklight and see if there is a leak.

I checked the fuses.

Could it be the compressor?

WHAT DOES DROPPING A PENNY INTO THE CIGARETTE LIGHTER DO? I saw this many times and would like to know.

Thanks guys

As for the heater it's probably the solenoid on the heater control valve which seems to be a common issue on the SC's. When I bought my SC a year ago, it was the same story, both A/C and heater didn't work. Had my mechanic replace the solenoid and the A/C just needed to be recharged.
