Question CE light popped on the way to work

Turned off on the way home. Think my car is trying to tell me something?
Heh anyway popped the hood and all was normal except for about a cap full of coolant on the plastic piece that covers the radiator. Never heard of a CE light being triggered by coolant pressure so is there something I should know or was my car just echoing my thoughts on work?

Go here and retrieve the code yourself: http://www.troublecodes.net/Lexus/

Use a paper clip.

Sorry for dropping this in the wrong section. Thought about it after I submitted it.

I'm not really worried about it unless it continues to happen. It's not smoking/steaming/surging/ or anything else for that matter. Only gone through three tanks of gas so far and has been 22.X 22.X 23.X which from reading is about right. My guess is it hiccuped and did the "my bad" thing. Thought it was humerous that it happened going to work and cleared up going home as if it was reading my mind. Thanks for the link though

A CEL is triggered due to the ECU "seeing" something wrong in it's "web" (having a brain fart can't think of a better word ). It's stored in memory so you can see exactly what it saw for that split second... I'd just run the check so see what it was (doooo eeet I'm curious myself haha).

There's even a diagnostic port under the hood so you don't have to cramp yourself under the dash. Simply bend a paper clip so the two ends are parallel to each other with both ends pointing one way. Turn ignition to the ON position (not started), put one end of the clip into TE1 and the other into E1, and watch the light flash. Easy as pi :P

OBD II models dont require any of that....just go to autozone and say, "Hey, check my code for me and tell me what it is."

Are 95's 1 or 2? OBD II came out in 95, but the site I linked above says 96+ are OBD II... (I really don't know I just picked the car up myself... I could search but I'm cooking dinner )

LGR95SC300: I agree with Lars, you should pull the code anyways just to know why it went off. Its always better to catch things before they have a chance to get worst. Im not saying there is anyting wrong with your car but it would just be a piece of mind knowing the cause that triggered the cel.

Lars619: 95 should still be OBDI. Someone correct me if im wrong.
