Default What to do about the 1 jz fule cut?

Will an HKS FCD get rid of the 1jz fule cut. I couldn't even max out 4th gear....

What can I do...

Wow, so many answers..... That sucks!

I heard the HKS FCD will alow my car to run as it should...

Please, any help is welcome...

im running an HKS BCC. If your cheap a simple $10 bleed valve will solve your problem too. Works just as good as an electronic version. You can also use a zenier diode. Theres a few ways to get around it. I got my boost cut controller for free, so that was my route.

I have all the boost I need, but I top out as I start to get into 4th... So I take it an HKS FCD will work???

You probley are hiting speed cut if in 4th gear that car could run 15 psi of boost, look for speed cut defencer.

what he said... as i was reading i was thinking the same thing... sooooo,

call titan and ask about the speed cut defencer that works for the 1J in an SC... they have sold a few. i dont think they are that expensive either.

i know im really late replying to this post.. but its sounds to me like yer hitting the speed limiter not boost cut.... u said "i couldnt even max out 4th gear"
that has nothing to do w/ boost....

i have a stock 1j w/ a boost controller (which is off) so its running on stock boost, and w/ my speed cut remover (pilot) the car hits 180 and keeps going... so anyway, while a boost controller would be nice, i HIGHLY doubt its the fix for yer problem.... i mean MAYBE if yer getting boost creep that could be it... where is your boost at when the cut comes in... and is it a bog/lick missfire.... or does the car just hit a wall

bog/misfire is what my car does when i hit boost cut @ .9bar...
hit a wall... is what my car did when i didnt have my speed cut

anyway sorry for the long post... but try that

just realized dewsc300 already said speedcut haha...oh well
