has anyone installed a 1jz auto tranny into there sc300 .....i have a turboed sc300 with stock tranny with shift kit and modified stock converter....i picked up a really nice 1jz auto tranny....what is the differenace between the 2 tranny and what do i need to do to install it into my sc300?
wonder if the shift kit and TC are the same?....

I'm not sure how much life you can get out of the 1j tranny with a 2j engine, but I don't think much since the 2j has much more torque...

 

isnt the 1jz tranny stronger? arent guys are making over 400+ on stock trans.... shouldnt it last longer? im going to swap a 1j trans in this week. ill let you know what happens....
