Default Testing the IAC motor

Im haing idle problems and stalling on my 92 SC400. I've tried the paperclip override for the FP ECU with no success. I've tested the IAC valve stepper motor accroding to planet soarer (http://www.planetsoarer.com/IAC/iac.htm) and I get 16 ohms istead of 34-54. Before I shell out money for a new IAC I wanted to ask if someone has a manual for a 92 to check if 34-54 are the correct values, or anything else to consider. Thanks

If the resistance across the terminals is not correct that means the coil is damaged and not the bearings.

What happens if you just disconnect the connector from the IAC motor while the valve is partially open, this should prevent my stalling problem right. Can this be bad for the engine?

Thanks for the reply though, seems like many people have the stalling and idling problems but they dont follow up with results.
