Converting 2JZGE 5spd to 1JZGTE w/ Auto? Anyone?
 

I have been all over these forums, as well as SupraForums...and cannot seem to find any information on converting the 5spd to an automatic. I would love to go 5spd, but the R154 Soarer tranny seems to be impossible to find! Though the other cars with R154s seem plentiful. :(

Anyway, has anyone converted to automatic? And how much of a pain is it...

I have 1jz with supra tt tranny, drives fine...
I guess you need soarer AT ECU tho...

regaurding the r154, read my sig. it can be done for pretty cheap. i think we spent a total of $20 on resurfacing the flywheel. $3 on welding wire $10 on argon gas for the welder, used scrap metal for the add-on, $300 for the trans, $.50 cents for a first gear thrust washer, and 400 for the clutch. so we totalled in at like $733.50 for the trans setup minus the drive shaft since i just took the measurements and my buddy had it made.

edit: found out the ds was only $150 so about $880 total
