Default Need 99 SC300 turbo help

would a 93-98 supra turbo kit fit a 99 SC300? I don't think the manifold would fit my SC300. I think they would only fit 92-97 SC300. If anyone has installed a turbo kit on a 98-00 SC300 please give me some info.

I'm pretty sure the only difference between your engine and the 92-97's are VVTI. Supra turbo kits will not fit your car without modifcation.

Your best bet is to do a boostlogic kit, or a dave H kit.

Do a search.

Like what everyone else said. Know what car you have first before you go and buy things.

thats a good thread

vvti rods are really weak, I've seen them break around 340hp. and then for tuning it would be a real good idea to go standalone. I dont know if you want to keep the vvti head but if you do you cant switch out the intake cam because of the vvti, you would have to either drop the dough on a hks v cam and the valcon controller which they dont have in stock in the usa.

http://www.hks-power.co.jp/products/...on/valcon.html

I also seen some get a custom cam from crower.

any other questions give me shoot me a pm.

Splat...I always figured i'd have Crower regrind the vvt-i intake cam, never got to it but that was the plan. Off the shelf grinds will work on the exhaust cam, and yeah...those vvt-i rods are no bueno. Who knew Ethan would turn it into another dust collection device
