I think using the stock 2jzge temp sensor is better than adding the resistor to the gauge

Can anyone verify this? I distinctly remember it being said that the bolt pattern was not the same nor was it in the same position as the 2jz-gte turbos.

I'm also curious about the Tach Adapter. All info I've ever seen on it mention its part number and why its needed. Where is it wired in? At the tach wire to the ECU or the dash? Just cut the wire and put the adapter as an "inbetween"?

yes the supra tt downpipe will work.

if you look at the wiring diagram it will show you where it goes, part is in between the ecu and tach part is in the harness to pick up signals and then pos ground and remote turn on ( i think, cant remember between the fcd, scd, etc.) either way you get the point.

and we're 100% sure the 8910EIS is the one for the 1JZ swap?
somethin like the 8910 is for 2jz and iunno, it's making me 2nd guess that.
anyone who's bought one, it works, and they distinctly remember which it was i'd like to put that to rest

It reads inaccureate up to 6-800rpms. Mine reads 7k when i hit rev limiter on the car, its really almost 7800.

Ask Chino (gotTRD) for the secret he and some buddys figured it out..

k, i've bought everything
instead of going FMIC i got a clip to use the smic.
i figured i'd kill two birds w/ one stone, because while doing this i get engine mounts incase i break any, AND i'm going to try and use the digital cluster.

the swaps a bit more expensive for me than VJ-RC made it to be, but he didn't have to get a clutch. and got a good deal

i had 4k saved up, i paid someone ~400 for space, tools, storage, help + more.
and so far i'm down 3k(including the 450)
that was clip, ship, clutch, throttle cable, tranny parts(my tranny needed some tlc), fuel pump, bushing that i dont need for this. if your doing this yourself 100% and don't buy extras, i'd be at ~2400 still.

I should have everything but the fluids + misc crap
also, i am not doing timing belt and other changes atm.
i am going to do that shortly down the road.

also, i'd try to include Koyo rad or something to help keep everything cool in the end.
i'll post up my total when i'm done
