I KNOE I'M GOIN TO SOUND LIKE AN DUMB A$$ , but i have a 95 sc400 and could anyone tell me what does the oil light in the RPM cluster represent ???? because after changing oil , a week or so later it blinks yellow and disapear for a while but comes on ramdomly ... plz inform me what it is . . . .

It means "Add Engine Oil"

you need to get that checked out lots of ppl think it means you need oil and in a sense it does ,but the reason is b/c your oil pressure is low and there are a number of reasons for that

In your Lexus owners manual it says 'Add Engine Oil' underneath that Icon...

yeah thanks for the info , but the car didnt come with a manual book .... but could someone explain why they oil pressure is low ???? im kinda of new at cars too .....

Your oil pump could be faulty.

Check your oil level and make sure you have a proper amount (5 quarts / SC300)

Many others have also reported that that light flickers at random intervals, including me. Perform a search and read up on it before jumping to conclusions.

Almost possitive that your oil filter is loose. I just had the same problem. trust me
