Default turbonetics sc300 dyno results

Here is my resulting HP/torque graph from the dyno fun pull I did today at Engine Logics in Houston. It was on a Dyno Dynamics Dynamometer which gives a lower result than a Dynojet Dynamometer so I'm told. I'm satisfied with the results. BTW the boost is at 9# ant I have a cat installed

the dip in the curves is probably due to the turbonetics fuel management coming on. The fuel mix was way too rich. That's why engine management is my next investment

Thumbs up

9psi on stock headgasket, stock compression, and stock timing? What is your spark plug gap and which turbo are you using? Congrats!

decent curve considering i guess but no offence or any thing but for 9psi those numbers are very low hopefully that is the dyno reading low... really low... your still on stock compression 10. to 1 compression right?

its very low compared to many other owners who see just over 300 whp on less boost when i still had stock motor and 10 to 1 compression on 8psi no fuel tuning just the turbonetics kit i put down 361whp and 352wtq on a mustang dyno i also had a custom exhaust but that was it

My SC 400 with 8PSI on 10.2:1 compression on a mustang dyno made 370 RWHP and 321 FtLbs
That was with dual 3" exhaust straight through, no cats, a fuel pressure regulator, 100 octane, large FMIC and the advantage of the 4.0L having 33% more displacment.
@ 5psi my 4.0L made 321RWhp, and 305Tq again on a mustang dyno.

I don't want to call B.S. on your 360hp, and 352tq #'s, but isn't the torque in the 2JZ's usally much lower then the HP #'s
Your 360HP sounds more like 15PSI? maybe, with no other mods.

Your 290RWHP seems pretty accurate to me! when I did the math of 75% of my hp #'s since the 4.0l is 25% larger I came with a # of 277. now replace my automatic with your manual, and your right there.
Good luck!!

good numbers bro...........

i pushed 1.25 max on my tt swap the other day; not on a dyno but just by reading
the boost gauge...and also got recorded on my turbo timer. i got scared cuz i wz running pump gas........
no knocking or pinging though.......i guess the motor can handle that much boost...being stock that is. heck, 1.25 is about what..............................close to 18psi?

correct me if im wrong.

i will get my car dynoed one of this days.

Hi yall doin. I was there when he dynoed his car. That SC is really nice man, keep up the good work. Also, just to let everyone know, unless he changed his plugs, everything is stock, other than the turbo of course. This was on a Dyno Dynamics dynameter. Supposedly, this dyno is 15-20% lower HP ratings than a dynojet or mustang. So if he were to dyno on a dynojet her would make somethin like 330 rwhp. I have to say, on the turbonetics kit, with no tuning and stock everything, that is pretty badass!

BTW riot, I am the kid that was sitting there when your car was on the dyno, I was talking to Dan when he was askin you questions about the cars boost and fuel and what not. Anyway man, keep up the good work.

although you did take into account displacement you forgot about turbo size the turbonetics 60-1 has a pretty good compressor map and flows a decent amount of cfm per minute. so without bringing that into the comparrison of your sc400 you have no arguement. you are probably running a decenly small turbo to make those numbers on an sc400. oh and btw im auto as well.

it also makes more sense that he was on a dyno dynamics which reads lower than a dyno jet and i was on a mustang dyno which reads even higer than a dyno jet.
at either rate get her tuned and shoot for some higher boost on race gas.. trust me you will really love the car then

Mustang dyno's are always lower than a dynojet.
