Default stock flywheel weight VS supra flywheel?

oh, i know i saw a thread either here, club nat, or SF a few days ago that gave the weight of the stock SC flywheel as compared to the stock supra NA flywheel. ive spent the last hour and a half looking for it without luck. i think the supra flywheel was lighter then the SC flywheel even though they are both using the W58. someone please tell my im not crazy. does anyone happen to know if its true? thanks.

i thought so too, but i swear i saw a post about it somewhere. thats why i posted. i think the stock SC flywheel was something like 24 lbs, and the supra was 16 lbs or so.... but i cant remember.

This is copied and pasted from the moreboost.org website.

32.6 drivetrain - tranny - flywheel (w/ bolts)
14 drivetrain - tranny - RPS lightweight flywheel
Only problem is that it doesn't specify v160/161 or W58. I am assuming it is the 6MT; although, I'm not sure there would even be a difference between the two. Installing a different clutch, from the factory, in the NA and TT Supras makes sense, but I'm not sure if they would install different flywheels.

While browsing SupraForums, I saw a figure of 33lbs floating around in a couple places. Again, no mention of 5MT or 6MT.

You could also bug Brandon (MongolKhan) to weigh his stock flywheel. I asked him if he would weigh it for me after he swapped in his lightweight flywheel... never did, of course.

yea, im sure brandon would be willing to weigh it for me. those figures were more than likely for the 6speed... you know how SF is... if its not a 6speed MKIV TT, they dont call it a supra.

im telling you, it was posted somewhere, and it caught my eye that the supra NA flywheel was lighter... i guess ill have to call the dealer and try to crossrefference the part numbers. they may know the weight.
