Default Changed PS pum and car won't start

Anyone else have this problem? A few months ago I changed the starter and water pump and gave the car a full tune up. Car started flawlessly after re-assembly and ran beautifully ever since. Now I took out the PS pump, and put a new one in (simple task) and now the car immediatly stalls after startup (never holds an idle- it cranks, fires up to 1200 rpm, then dies). I tore everything out and put it back together again and the same problem. I had a similar problem with a different car where the air flow meter failed and had a similar problem. I can't figure it out. I don't know if some sensor went wrong, or what. I just wanted to know if maybe there was an obvious problem. I mean taking out the PS pump doesn't involve removing any major things.

Any help is appreciated.
