Default Question for those with 1JZ swaps

I've never driven or been in an SC with a 1JZ, how's the power delivery stock or modded? fairly quick for an auto? I've driven an 98 SC4, is the power comparable to that? How's gas mileage?

Just curious to see how the engines hold up and perform

ive driven a 500whp NA-T SC300, a 450whp 2JZ-GTE SC300, and a stock 1JZ SC300, and i have to say that although the others had a lot more power and top end, the 1JZ was at full boost long befor the others started to spool. its a very very responsive motor. planty of power, and one hell of a powerband. smooth throughout, and keep pulling up top. deffinately more power than an SC400. there may not be as much TQ, but at about 2500rpms at full throttle, your in for a treat! hope that helps some.
