Noob with 2 questions.
Hi all. Since this is my first post, i am probably going to ask a couple of noob questions, and i did use the search function to locate some questions i had too . I just bought my car last week. Its a 1992 Sc300 Automatic with 172k miles on it. Its in pretty decent shape, leather is actually not cracked. I was origionally searching for a 5spd, but i did not want to travel far to get one and the price of an Auto was a lot less. I have about $2200 left from what i saved to get the car and i was considering a 1jz-gte and 5spd conversion. Would I be better off getting a whole front clip of a 5spd Soarer or just getting the 1jzgte swap set without a trans, which i can get for about $1500, and converting to a 5spd through a wrecker network to get all of the necessary parts? Considering the only halfcuts i seem to locate are around $3000, i could save up some more money and go that route. What would be the wiser route to keep headaches to a minimum, as well as downtime.
Secondly, i get a slight Clunk out of the rear suspension sometimes over bumps, i tried to poke around but i didnt see anything substantial. the bushings looked ok from where i was at. Any suggestions?

Yea, i plan on fixing up the suspension before i bother with an engine swap. I jus thave the money set aside for the engine swap From what i feel, the shocks/struts are perfectly fine and the rears actually look really new. Im wondering if maybe they didnt tighten something down right.
