I would try horsepower freaks for one of their clutches. Id also think about some Exedy or HKS twin disks or triple disks. Id call Ryan at WOTM about RPS clutches.

Great to see the 1jz space taking off with some big singles. What size turbo are you running? I'm interested to see the spool characteristics of the smaller displacement motor and a large turbo.

Best of luck kaotiq, I'm looking forward to the reveal.

As for the clutch situation, maybe give Rob @ RPS a call, he may have a solution for the 154.

short story:

1JZ and 2JZ having the same bore, and the 1JZ having a shorter stroke. Put two identical cars next to eachother, one with a 500hp 1JZ, and the other with a 500hp 2JZ. Put both on a race track, like roadcourse.. the 1JZ will be the faster car due to its ability to rev quicker and higher.

Thanks guys for the great support. Constructive criticism is also welcome. I can take negative hits too.

PHL, Ariz, Quik = Yeah, I have been getting the same suggestions for clutches from SF also. They said RPS. I think i will also give Ryan a holler too.

Quik = I'm running the GReddy T78/33d turbo kit. Yeah, I know... lag which is good because I live in LA and I don't really need that boost until I hit the freeway anyways

actually I'm driving the car right now. I had everything taken apart and cleaned. Right now is the so called "break in period." I have to wait for a couple components before i go back to XS Engineering to have it fully tuned.
