Default 1993 SC400 Heater went out this morning...Help!

My wife's heater went out this morning. Has anyone had this happen before, and if so, where would you recommend looking to troubleshoot the problem? Thanks for the help,

Chris

Make sure there is water in the radiator, no heat is a classic symptom of an empty or low coolant level

use our secret weapon, it was talked about last week or so... Low water in the cooling system probably, or the $250 servo in the engine bay that u can use a zip tie to get heat, or bad fuse?....

probably just low water

Thanks guys for the help. Can you explain a tad further where I should be looking for this servo in the engine bay, and which location the fuse would be? Would the fuse be in the engine bay or up underneath the driver's column?

Thanks again guys!

Okay, so here's what it's doing:

The coolant level looks fine. When you hit the Auto button, the A/C comes on, then as I turn the temperature up to heat, it automatically turns off the fan and the A/C. I tried hitting the A/C button off and doing the same thing, and nothing changed.

Is this the servo causing this problem? If I turn the fan on manually, it just blows cold air with or without the A/C on. It's about 40 degrees outside here in Colorado.

The engine temps look normal, the fluid level is fine, and I need to know where the servo is located and where the fuses would be for the heating system. Anybody?

I ended up taking mine to the shop, and they said it was the heater control valve. But, they were able to get the part quickly and cheaper than I could have done it myself, and that included their diagnostic tests.

Sometimes, for some things, the dealer is your best bet. I'd take it there, at least to get an accurate diagnosis.
