Default MKIV Supra auto shifter in SC300

Has anyone done this. I am trying to make it work, but it is going to be a PITA.
I hate the dildomatico So I got the idea to try a Supra Shifter. It bolts right in and the needed wirering is easy enough. Making it work in the SC's center console and not look ghetto is the problem. I will post pics of the shifter as it sits now.

I got the complete shifter assembly from a TT for $50 shipped from a SF member. The shifter assemble bolts in but the lever is a bit short and located a bit further to the left (driver's side) than the stock shifter. As is the car can be driven and shifted into all gears, but the position of the shifter does not line up to it's respective mark on the console panel.
I am going to need to use some of the center console mounting brackets of the old shifter to get the center console bolted in and may have to shave the gate a bit on the left side. I may also have to extend the lever length just a bit.
I won't get anymore work done this week but will update as soon as I do.
