I finally started my 1JZ project and I'm not sure where all the wiring goes... There are 2 empty slot in the JDM ECU and 2 open connetors on the harness. Can I just buy the connetors for the ECU and splice into the harness???

well.. it is more like the harness and the ecu is not fit for each other.

the square grey one looks like one of the ecu plugs for sure, and that rectangular white one plugs into the side, where the kick panel is....right next to the orange plug. seems like youre missing one?....thats wierd. btw what did you do about the knock sensor wires when you extended the ecu harness?

The Grey plug doesn't fit into any plug. I've tried the kick panel for the white also. No luck. I just soldered new wire and used rubber electric tape to shield the knock wires.

wierddddd......my computer looks different...you probably have a clip out of a chaser or something...in which case you probably need to splice one of the plugs from your 1jz harness into a plug from your ge motor. going into the kick panel area there should be two grey, two white, and an orange plug...but that still dosent explain why your plug dosent fit into the ecu. here's a picture of my ecu before it went in the car.

wow thats a wiring nightmare, my harness didnt look liek that lol, it was complete and ready to go.... when i get my harness back this weekend i can tell u what color wire goes where.

are u sure thats a soarer engine set? where did u get it from?

I bought it from another CL member. We're not sure if the motor is from a soarer. What other cars could this 1JZ be from?

i have no idea what kinda hacked harness that is.... maybe to swap the 1JZ into another shell??? Start callin around for another harness, that one looks pooched
