Spark plugs, post your experiences.
As part of an FAQ for this forum, I am asking for spark plug parts numbers and price if possible. You should post all that you have tried and what car you have.
Example: Car: SC400 Plug: Autolite Price: $50 for all 8 Comments: They stink, use your money on some real plugs. Ok, this will be your time to help form this FAQ and cut down on repetitive questions! Car: SC300 1993
Plugs: NGK Iridium IX, Part # BKR6EIX-11 Price: $50 shipped for 6 plugs Comments: So far so good. I don't remember when the last time the plugs were changed. Did a whole tuneup on the car when I replaced them so I'll refrain from giving them all the credit. However since then, my mpg has increased and engine pulls hard and strong. Very satisfied. |

NGK 3330's copper? 10 bucks for 6 plugs comments: pretty good, havent really had anything to compare them to...but definitely runs a lot better than the plugs that were in there befor ebut they looked old. Even if they don't last as long thats not an issue to me becuase i usually swap out plugs every 10-20k miles anyways. so i'm not looking for something that'll last until i get another car. In my experience though, if it says NGK, it really doesnt matter what the plug is. |

Plugs: Denso Iridiums Price: $40 for 6 shipped off eBay Working perfectly and are supposed to be unfoulable. Sounds good cause the less I have to remove the throttle body, the better PS. Autolite and Champion blow...and suck. They blow and suck at the same time...terrible plugs |

Plug: NKG G Power Platinum #7090, (BKR5EGP) Price: $25 for all 6 from rockauto.com Comments: Replaced these along with the distributor rotor and cap and the spark plug wires. Very noticable improvements made - improved gas milage, idles smoother, engine pulls harder, overall satisfied. |
Car: 97 LS400
Plug: Bosch Platnium +4 Price: Cant remember (Been running then for about 4 years) Comments: I have not had a single problem. I am thinking about going to iridium just to see what it's about, but the +4's I feel have done me right. |
^^ FYI my Bosch 4+ exploded after 200 miles in my BMW. The electrode split down the center. I got like a week of use.

About to put new Iridium plugs in the SC. I'll be sure to post an evaluation afterwards. |

It's even possible the plug(s) was over torqued when installing or damaged in some other way. I don't think your Beemer eats Bosch plugs for breakfast. :) |

Plug: NGK 6097 (BKR7E) gapped to .040 Price: Free....they were a gift Comments: Gap is too big. I get a little misfiring up top. I'm going to get new ones and gap them down to ~.032 |
