Question Anyone ever heard of XSS mufflers?

The guy I'm working with on my exhaust project reccomended them over the Magnaflow 14829s I wanna buy. He said they're made by a company called "Accelerator"; or some variation of the spelling; which is supposed to be one of the best mufflers in the world.

They're alot cheaper than the Magnaflows, so it might be worth looking into.

Thanks,

G.A.

Magnaflows sound like garbage.... I got Rod Millen Motorsport on my SC400 and its the best I have heard(not just because I have them)... I removed the resonators and man it sounds clean! http://videos.streetfire.net/player....0-D2287EA80D95 there it is..... Ignore the fuzzy/monotone/scratchy sounding mic... sounds real clean and deep in person. Dead silent ont he interior as well which is awesome. good luck!

mine total were $647 and it goes back to about the axel.... not cat.... but you get what you pay for! magnaflows=junky/mullet/raspy sound..... RMM=clean, throaty, mellow, very deep tone and a good power increase.

You paid $647 for mufflers?

There are alot of people on this forum who use Magnaflow 14829s and I've heard their sound clips. They sound excellent.

If you've got $650 to burn,, you can get 2 titanium JIC Bullet mufflers.

or the stainless ones for $510.

Hm...

Bummer... since I don't have that kind of cash. Being 15 and on the last week of my summer job is pinching my wallet

I think the $200 polished stainless 14829s will sound and look awesome.

You know, the sign in front of the muffler shop advertised $200 dual systems. By the time I'm done with mine, it will be just under the 4 digit mark.

Was that $647 for the RMM exhaust, or mufflers alone? This statement is kind of throwing me off:

and it goes back to about the axel.... not cat....

In essence you are asking if a 6cyl sounds the same as a V-8. They sounds VERY different. You will not get the deep rumble with the 300 as you will with the 400.

The magnaflows sound great IMO. For $650 you can get 2 Magnaflows and some custom mandrel bent piping all the way back to the cats. Money better spent IMO.

Now that I've gotten my parents to alow me to start modding, they're kicking themselves for not letting me take the Magnaflows off your hands a while back

One mod leads to another, leads to another, leads to another...
