Centrifugal Supercharger for SC400
Hello club members,
I need some expert advices on building a bracket for a Centrifugal Supercharger such as a Vortech or a Powerdyne...etc. I'm planning to build a bracket that's bolted to the chassis in place of the air intake box on the passenger side.
Is it safe for the belt not to slip out during vibration or revving? I tried to rev the engine to high RPM but I didn't see it move up out of its position like some 4 cylinder engines.
Is it safe to build another pulley over the cam sprocket pulley to drive the supercharger belt (only on the passenger side)?
Is it safe to build another pulley over the crank pulley to drive the supercharger belt? This is for the supercharger to be in the middle facing the radiator.
What do you think?
Any info. on this subject is greatly appreciated.

Sorry I can't answer your other questions, but I wouldn't recommend mounting the supercharger to the chassis. You will want to build brackets directly on the engine somehow so that it moves with it. You may not see it, but an engine under load will move, even if only a slight amount.
