Default My unconventional TT conversion ... pics

Finished the new setup about a month ago and have been trying to tune it in since, 550's are being a pain but unplugging the O2 sensor to take some of the ecu control out is making things much easier...

quick list:
GE with GTE pistons, GE h/g
SD manifolds
Master Power 60 trim T3/T4 .48a/r
SD d/p, exhaust, IC tubing, etc
walbro 255, denso 550's
s-afc, maf translator

pics:

With easily 40 hours making and installing this setup, I learned my lesson and will stick to one turbo from now on...and having the distributor and intake mani in the way makes for a much less sexy engine bay than aftermarket TT GTE's..
I'm waiting on a new local dyno to open up (~ the end of the month) and I'll be bringing the car over to blow up the trans

Has this car been tuned yet? Who made the manifold?

Indeed. Two turbos look neat, but they are twice the trouble to install, twice the trouble to work on, and almost twice the price to replace. Neat job thought!

why are you going to be running the high compression stuff with two turbos?
was just curious; I'd figure you'll be at 9.5:1 with the GTE pistons

[insert technical-sounding but BS answer about quench area, flame propagation...]
really it came down to the fact that I didn't want to throw another 130 bucks into a TT gasket, so I just dropped on the n/a one that came in the gasket kit.

Props and for the individuality on this project...I love the TT-NA project . Keep us posted with your progress. Not surprised with the number of hours you have spent on your project...40 hours is easy to spend on a One-Off, DIY TT project...I know...

Like SC300TT (Clint) stated, you will have double the trouble and double the pain along with single the fun. I am not to be negative, but dont u think the MP T3/4is too big for the almost stock engine?
I think you would have difficulty spooling. Twin turbo get the WOW factor, I would stick with single....

I have been talking about this DIY turbo to many guys in here, but they shot this idea down three years ago.... go figure....

Am I correctly seeing that you have a T4 60-trim per 1.5 liters of engine with *low* compression?
