Yes, the Non-Turbo 93.5 - 98 Supra

Yes, there is a LSD direct bolt up for our SC300 5 speed. It exists in its mechanical cousin, the Supra NA 5sp that runs the identical w58 transmission.

not all n/a supra's had lsd. have to be careful
a direct bolt up would be the auto TT supra rear end though.

actually thats not true

the driveshaft flange is different; the diff bolts in but you need a custom driveshaft

rscott May 4, 2005 01:11 PM

if you use the TT auto diff itself in the stock pumpkin, will you still need to reflange the DS?

same question for the ever elusive NA LSD?

meaning...will just the diff itself bolt in without any mods or do you have to change out everything from diff to companion flange?

In other news: There are other aftermarket LSDs that will bolt into the SC if you really need one.

ki_soarer May 4, 2005 02:02 PM

TRD... because you just cant go wrong! :p i think the internals will swap from the supra LSD into the stock pumpkin. not too sure though. :uh:

rscott May 4, 2005 11:32 PM

so i found this while looking through my old supraforums PMs from 5spd sc300 regarding an auto pumpkin in the sc300:

Quote:

The rear will bolt right up without changing axles, etc. BUT, you will need to have a new companion flange welded on your driveshaft where it hits the rear end. The 3 holes (in a triangle) are spaced out farther than the N/A rear end. But the length of the driveshaft should stay the same.

so if i remember the conversation correctly...the TT pumpkin should drop right in with only the companion flange on the DS having to be changed.
