Default walbro pump in stock 1UZ?

hi
I think have problem with my fuel pump (or fuel pump ecu)- car poor accelerate above 4000RPMs. Thinking about replace it with walbro 255 pump.
Will stock 1UZ fuel presure regulator handle that? Asking cause in DSM there was know problem that stock FPR had too small return hole and high wolume pump made too much pressure on fuel rail and on injectors cause very rich afr condition on idle and light throttle.
Someone chnged for that pump?
suggestons?
thanks
Jerry

yes I am running Walbro 255lph HP fuel pump for a few years with no problems.

I did eventually buy S-AFC and had it tuned and i got better fuel mileage and more power.
