Default Tune up time; what do you recommend

I'm ready to do a tune up on the SC. It's a '92 with 125k. I'm assuming that I should get OEM Toyota parts, but I just wanted to ask. I'm doing the cap, plugs, and plug wires and whatever else you guys would suggest. I thought about doing iridium plugs, but some people say it's just not worth it. Are their any opinions on that.

I'm also going to do the good 'ol lower control arm bushings... but I don't know if I'm man enough to do that.

Can't go wrong with Toyota OEM parts. I'm currently running iridium plugs, didn't notice any difference at all.

Also just did front LCA bushings with Daizens, getting the old bushings were a total PITA, had to have a local shop press it out. I just started doing the full rear set, so far so good.

why do you need a shop to press it out? what tool they use?
my friend has got a lot of air tools and other things, maybe he has the required equipment for this lca change? (im also eventually going to do it)

To properly remove the old bushings, they need to be pressed out. Some people torch them out, but its not recomended that you do that. And (correct me if I am wrong) the new bushings will also need to be pressed in.

Yeah, that is the main reason that I was going to let my friend do it. He could drive it, on the weekend, to the dealership where he works, press them out and get them installed in no time. I would have to pay him though.

I have access to a press where I work, but then I would have to find another form of transportation for my wife, seeing as that's what she drives to work and this method would require downtime.
