Default 93 sc400 heater help

Hi everyone. I have a 93 sc400 with around 150k miles on it and just recently the heater's been acting up. It doesnt blow hot air unless I'm reving or driving over 2500 rpms or so. When I get off the freeway or drive below those rpms, it goes back to blowing cold air. I thought it could've been the thermostat or something since i had that problem with a different car, but the running temp isn't above normal at all. Any ideas????

Welcome to Club Lexus. I see you registered a while back, but haven't posted much with us. We have installed a search button in the top left corner to help members find what they need quicker and easier. Had it been used, it would have revealed that you are simply low in coolant. Top off the tank. When you step on the gas, you suck the coolant into the engine quicker and cause a surge in the line that keeps it flowing into the heater core.

Glad we could help. Enjoy your visit

PS- since this is about an engine, i also moved it to the engine forum.
