Custom Piping...what are the differences?
Hey guys,
Just got my 14829 magnaflow's. Now trying to decide what to do with the custom piping. I definatly want to do the full cat-back exhaust with most likly 2.25 in. piping. What I'm not sure about is if I should go with the Y-pipe, H-pipe, X-pipe, etc......what are the differences between those? I'm trying to go for a deep sound, but dont want it too loud, but definatly louder then what my stock exhaust is like. Thanks! Oh yea, I have a 95 SC300 |

we SC300 guys have only two options - Y pipe or single line they generally do not recommend doing true dual on an inline 6 correct me if i'm wrong thou well not if you are spooling. |
thanks guys!
So, is a Y-pipe with no resonators and 2.25 in. piping the most popular setup for 300's? For those who have it, is it too loud? |
The main diffrence between custom piping and a manufactured catback like greddy or jic is that greddy and jic will be manderal bent piping while custom will 99% of the time be crush bent piping. Very few exhaust shops have a manderal bender.
