supra and sc obviously aren't the same car...maybe a NA supra and sc300...

i can't even dignify your remarks.
the supra is a modified sc.... yes the have tha same basic chassis its even on the toyota university website,

also someone said the the rb revs higher and quicker, that make sense since it has a smaller bore and stroke (correct me if i am wrong) also are we talking vvti-vvti? yeah it took toyota a while to release there own version. it is a fact that each engine has its strengths and weaknesses,

i gotta say thats a nice car. but i drive a nissan forklift at work thats as far as i go

The skyline in this video has a built engine the supra does not plus some tuners would consider a GT30 a rather small turbo for a 2j.

Default In regards to the RB26DETT Soarer.

So, I'd like to re-open this thread as I am actually a Skyline guy & Lexus guy and happen to have a RB30DET swap that I'd like to do on my SC400.
as for actually doing this swap, I have mapped out quite a bit of things so bare with me.
1. R34 GTR V160AWD Trans w/ Tcase
2. R32 gtr front subframe with shafts and hubs
3. Bolt it in and go get it tuned.....
Lol does anyone know the owner? Cuz I'm about to be a copycat but AWD😂🤦*♂️🤙😈

A tall deck RB30 block? Nice!

You'll have a much easier time of this swap however if you keep the SC chassis RWD and put any strong RWD gearbox behind the RB. Years ago I heard of an AWD Soarer before located somewhere in Russia and I do believe it used an entire Skyline AWD driveline and engine but there were zero details on how it was fabricated into the car... or how well it was done and how well it actually drove.

This will not be anywhere close to being a bolt-in swap. If proceeding it will require a LOT of careful measurement and work to everything into the SC chassis and working properly.

Don't get me wrong. I love R32-R34 Skylines and GT-R's just as I love SC/Soarers. But this will be a very big project as to your goals.

Since this thread is beyond off topic at this point... Might be easier to do a 2JZ AWD setup for the SC. There were AWD 2JZ IS300/Altezza models sold globally across certain markets. All you need is some suspension fab which may not be that hard.

^^ Very interesting info INTIMAZY. Looking this up it seems the 2JZ-GE+4WD driveline you're talking about is from a non-U.S. Altezza AS300 Gita Wagon using either an A47DE or A340H 4-speed automatic. If the A340H variant is the one those cars came with then there would likely be an existing aftermarket upgrade path to strengthen that transmission for a boosted application.
