Paul, I posted that question quite awhile back, and have since saw your update. Thanks for taking time to post the link. Its ashame some of us state side guys dont bolt us one on as well. Business is just to slow right now in my neck of the woods, but thanks for cutting a trail for us.

97 SC400 Supercharged

OK Ryan, where are you?
Don't know why it took me so long to find this thread.

I think you all know my vote.

95 SC400 Supercharged via Vortech V-9.

As far as the ongoing arguement. Pros for supercharging centrifugal..cheap, easy and very effective. I have allot of time into my car but technically, I went from NA to FI during a 3 day weekend. With the smallish V-9, I get boost off idle depending on throttle position. I have a 12psi pulley on it and no slippage what so ever.

Hopefully, I'll get a dyno sheet soon.

$300 for a TQ is a little expensive.
you can get a TQ completly rebuilt with the stall raised to 2400, and cut stator which is all they can do to the stock TQ for $100.

The question is the ULTIMATE Sc400 though... not the cheapest. THE ultimate UZ engine is two posts above me. cowboy bebop's engine is the pinnacle of UZ-design today.

Agreed, cOwboy's engine is sick and the ULTIMATE. Is that thing a 2UZ or a 3UZ? 4.3, 4.7, or more?

It's 4.7L built just about all the way. The only thing I can think of that's not been replaced are the buckets. We debated CrMo buckets, but decided that the cam profile wasn't aggressive enough to warrant them. We've got a 5.4L that's on the stand just about ready to go into another car that's built as far as we can possibly take the motor.

Thanks!

Eric

Again.. turbos SC'ing is alright on a large ci motor (still am partical to turbos even in that application), but on a small ci motor like the 1/2/3uz turbos are imho are the way to go.
