SC300 Single Exhaust?
hey everyone, i've been searching around and have'nt been able to fine one. so i was wondering if anyone knew of a single(tip) 3 inch cat back exhaust for the lexus sc300?
|
jic has a few i believe... pricey though. i think there are a few otheres as well.
|
I hope you can fill in the cutout in your rear bumper if you do choose the single pipe route.
|
I just went with the universal HKS hiper and cut off the Y after the cat.
|
anyone know about the apexi N1 catback? i saw a few people have this. maybe they are using the supra exhaust? i dunno i'm gunna keep looking around and let you guys know what i find.

any supra exhaust should work if you add some piping to it.

No the supra TT exhaust will not work on the SC unless you scrap the piping. You have to either buy one made for the soarer, or you have to have one custom fabbed. Me personally, I bought the R*SR GT2 exmag for the supra to fit on my SC. It did not fit the way i wanted it, The piping was close, but it needed custom work to be done to it. Basically i had to scrap the piping, and kept the rear section of the muffler and got larger custom pipes put on.
Do a search about the supra exhaust here in the engine forums and you will come up with a couple of threads about it Kevin DO NOT BUY A SUPRA TT EXHAUST, it will not work unless you do some custom fabbing! |
I have the Apexi N1 cat back and dump pipe on my Soarer as well as a Kakimoto Racing test pipe. It doesnt sound too bad, but the 1JZ exhaust manifold(s) doesnt help any

just curious why a lot people like the single exhaust. does it perform better? or they just like the style better with single exhaust?
|
why run two pipes, when you can run one?

Im even using the stock hangers on my Apexi N1 would be nice if the pics worked, but from my experiance with the RSR exhaust, the hangers dont line up, and the piping was slightly off. Kevin |
i have the JIC single exhaust it sounds great and wasn't much to installing it so the muffler shop says.
