Default Tranny is acting up...

Sometimes when driving around (around 1500 RPM) the car starts to jerk, like it's trying to find a gear or something. The best I can describe it as is that it studders in the RPM area. Thoughts? 95 SC400 Auto

Transmission flush would be nessesary. Me and many other SC400 owners experience this at time, when the car is downshifting from lockup 4th to 3rd at about 40 mph under gentle depression of the gas pedal.... its burned fluid.

Have it flushed and you should be fine. I had mine done and it drives smooth with no problems now. KNOCK ON WOOD.

Very likely a converter problem, it could be not releasing from a locked state.

Try tapping the gas slightly to see if the rpms jump up a little, or if they are pretty much stuck where they are at.
